The body is the temple of the spirit, as St. Paul famously wrote. (1 Cor. 6:19) To help people live into the wholeness and healing that God offers us, we provide three yoga classes per week. Please check with your physician before beginning any exercise routine.
The yoga is “Iyengar” style yoga, which utilizes blocks, belts, chairs and blankets to help achieve the necessary movements and develop strength, flexibility and balance. All classes are free and open to the public. A donation basket is provided for those who wish to give – all donations go to selected ministries through the church or out in the community.
Participants should dress in comfortable clothing for bending and stretching. All the special equipment (blocks, etc.) is provided. Classes are suitable for beginners as well as those who have done yoga for years.
Classes are offered in the Parish Hall on Mondays at 4:30 and 6 pm and are approximately an hour long.
